Description
An initial moderate and clean sweetness is rapidly followed by a mouthful of deep peat notes, with tobacco smoke and strong espresso coffee, which then gives way to treacle sweetness and liquorice. The mouthfeel is firstly lightly spiced (astringent), then chewing, mouthwatering, full and finally dry.

Product Description
Between 1981 and 1989 the distillery sadly closed only returning to production of true Malt Whisky in 1997. Renowned as the peatiest and smokiest of all Islay Malts. Unquestionably the greatest distillery on earth. If perfection on the palate exists, this is it. as the whisky critic Jim Murray puts it.
